Sold-Out Opening: ATOLL 2026 Kicks Off

Two performers, a Cyr wheel, and a packed circus tent: The 11th edition of the ATOLL Festival kicked off Thursday evening, September 17, at the TOLLHAUS with “In Difference” by Jef Everaert & Marica Marinoni. Next, the Moroccan Groupe Acrobatique de Tanger combined acrobatics with parkour and breakdancing in “Ka-In.” Both performances were completely sold out, and the audience celebrated the performers with a long round of applause.

Supporters, representatives of the city council, and sponsors gathered at the reception that followed. Maíra Wiener, Bernd Belschner, and Stefan Schönfeld were thrilled with the successful start. The three expressed their gratitude for the support that ATOLL has received over many years and are looking forward to ten more festival days full of special circus moments.

Numerous productions remain to be seen through September 27, including the German premiere of “Mystica” and the Children’s and Family Day on Sunday, with free admission. The program and tickets are available at atoll-festival.de.
