“DELUSIONAL – I Killed a Man” is a contemporary circus solo show that follows the journey of a trans woman. The piece explores the agonizing feeling of having murdered one's former self, a common experience for many trans women as they leave their assigned gender behind. Through a variety of circus disciplines such as aerial acrobatics, dance, singing and physical theater, Diana Salles invites you to reflect on the physical and emotional strength it takes to honor one's deepest truth. Diana Salles, born in São Paulo, Brazil in 1996, began her journey into contemporary circus by attending the Escola de Circo e Artes Culturais in Brazil. There she discovered a deep love for this art form. In 2015, she enrolled at the Superior School of Circus Arts (ESAC) in Brussels and specialized in tightrope walking, accompanied by teachers such as Roman Fedin and Valérie Dubois. After graduating, Diana won several prestigious awards. In 2023, Diana produced and co-wrote her first solo show “DELUSIONAL – I kill a man” directed by Firenza Guidi. The piece received the Best of Fringe – International scholarship at its premiere at the Amsterdam Fringe Festival..
